October 9, 1949 – November 2, 2025
Marienne Helen Lipomi, age 76, of Concord Township, Ohio, and South Pasadena, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. She was born on October 9, 1949, in North Tonawanda, New York, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Basiak) Kaczor; and survived by her son, Chris Lipomi of Los Angeles, California; her devoted sister, Nancy Jo (Tom) Davidson of Slingerlands, New York; her brother, Mark (Laurie) Kaczor of North Tonawanda, New York; nieces and nephews Ashley Greenland, Mark Davidson, Ellen Davidson, and Nicole Zauski; and her beloved cat, Magic.
Marienne was a proud graduate of North Tonawanda High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and a Master of Arts in Education from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati. She began her teaching career in Niagara Wheatfield, New York, and in Florida, before settling in Painesville, Ohio, in 1979. For 34 years, she served the Painesville City Local Schools with dedication and compassion, retiring from Maple Elementary in 2013.
Throughout her career, Marienne was known for her kindness and deep commitment to her students. She sometimes provided school supplies, clothing, and personal support to children in need, always ensuring that every student felt valued and cared for. In addition to teaching, she was an active member of the Painesville City Teachers Association, serving as building representative and later as President for 22 years. In that capacity, she skillfully negotiated contracts, advocated for her colleagues, and guided the district through many important challenges.
Marienne’s warmth and generosity extended beyond her professional life. She greatly enjoyed traveling with her sister and family and was a gracious host to friends and loved ones at her Florida home. She was known for her elegance and impeccable sense of style, as she was rarely seen without a perfectly coordinated outfit, complete with matching jewelry, shoes, and purse. Despite facing lifelong health challenges, Marienne’s strength, optimism, and spirit seldom wavered. She was an example of enduring grace and love of the possibilities of life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord, Ohio.

She had the ability to make ordinary moments feel like abundance.
She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her enduring strength, and her love that showed up in a warm meal, a clean home, and practical gifts. Barbara J. Walters
Barbara J. Walters passed away Thursday October 30, 2025 after 92 years filled with laughter and tears. She had a personality that quickly won over everyone she met — from nurses to the woman next in line at the grocery store.
Barbara was often seen covered in turquoise jewelry— hoping to get lucky at the casinos. But it was her family where she felt she hit the real jackpot. Barbara’s legacy lives on through her daughters Sandi (Donnie), Jill (Mike) and Wendy, her grandchildren Michaela, Kyle, Amanda and Russell (Tiffany) and great grandchildren.
Barbara was known for giving great advice about taking each and every opportunity you can to have an adventure — and that stubborn determination is how she lived her 92 years.
May she rest in peace.
Olivia Mary Dowling
Olivia Mary Dowling (Rodriguez) passed away in Chardon, Ohio, on October 30, 2025. She was born in Adrian, Michigan, on April 23, 1949, as one of eight children of Enrique (Henry) and Rose (Montez) Rodriguez. On June 22, 1974, Olivia married the love of her life, Jerry Dowling, and they celebrated 25 wonderful years together before Jerry's passing in 1999. Known for her playful teasing, Olivia's departure in her sleep was the least dramatic moment of her life. Though she offered excellent advice, she seldom heeded it herself. Olivia was famous for her homemade tortillas and loved cooking for anyone who appreciated a good home-cooked meal.
Olivia cherished her three daughters—Brandie (Brian) Adams, Catherine (David) Leonard, and Jerri Sue Dowling—just as much as she adored John Wayne. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Mya, Tyrique, Lydia, and Jalaya. The Dowling home was a sanctuary, always welcoming many foreign exchange students, reflecting Olivia's inclusive and hospitable nature. She was a devoted sister to Henry (Norma) Rodriguez Jr., Arthur (Wiltred) Rodriguez, Peggy Rodriguez, Dolores (Roger) Sandefer, Robert Rodriguez, and Francis Pike.

Mary Martinez-Bonnay
In Loving Memory of Mary Martinez-Bonnay
June 1, 1942 – October 16, 2025
With profound love and deep sadness, we announce that Mary Martinez-Bonnay, our beloved mother, grandmother, and best friend to many, has gone to meet the Lord on October 16, 2025.
Mom had a strong and personal relationship with God and often shared that you would find her “hanging on the robe of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Her deep faith was the heart of her life, guiding her with grace and strength.
She was an avid gardener with a love for her family and flowers. Known to many as “Mary Rose,” she spent years working in garden centers, sharing her knowledge.
Compassion and strength were gifts to all who knew her. She offered comfort, wisdom, and an open heart—always ready help or lend her strength. Though she has entered eternal life, her prayers and love will continue to embrace all those she loved.
She had a special devotion to The Seven Sorrows Rosary of Our Blessed Mother, finding in it both solace and strength. In her honor, those who wish may pray this rosary for the repose of her soul and in thanksgiving for the love she gave so freely.

Timothy “TJ” Wineman
The world lost one of its most “colorful” characters when Timothy “TJ” Wineman 69, of Mentor Ohio clocked out for the last time on Oct 9,2025
— probably still wondering who moved his lantern collection!
Born in Alliance, Ohio to Francis and Gloria Wineman, TJ was the middle of three boys — which explains a lot. Sandwiched between Michael and Kirk, he might have secretly been the wild child, though he’d swear it was “just bad luck” (and possibly the influence of the other two).
TJ went on to have two children, Timothy Jr. and Stacy, proving that yes, someone did trust him to raise tiny humans. After realizing he was better at helping people put their lives back together than destroying his own, when he nearly earned himself frequent flyer miles to the county jail. He got to know the local judge well enough to exchange Christmas cards (first-name basis and all). But plot twist — he turned it all around,TJ took sobriety seriously starting in 1983 and became ahuge part of the AA community — the kind of guy who could give you tough love one minute and
a bad dad joke the next.
In 1987, TJ married his wife Cathy, who already had three kids — Ricky, Jamie, and Randy. Because TJ never backed down from a challenge, they decided to add one more, welcoming Mathew. At this point, it was less of a family and more of a small-town census.
Professionally, TJ turned his passion for helping others into a lifelong career. He began as a drug and alcohol counselor, running the Chemical Dependency Program in the Geauga County Jail, then went on to work for the Lake County Public Defender’s Office, placing inmates into treatment programs — where he eventually retired, likely after realizing he’d talked enough people out of bad decisions for one lifetime.
TJ was also a collector — of lanterns (so many lanterns), war memorabilia, old train stuff, and anything that made people tilt their heads and ask, “Why do you have that?” His home was less a house and more a museum of questionable treasures.
Though he claimed he didn’t like kids, TJ still managed to rack up 15 grandkids and 2 great-grandkids, all of whom adored him anyway — probably for his unmatched sarcasm and secret soft spot he’d never admit to.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, the AA community, and anyone lucky enough to have experienced his quick wit, stubborn honesty, and legendary humor. TJ may be gone, but his lanterns — and his legacy — will keep shining bright.
Rest easy, TJ. You’ve done enough.
A celebration of life will be held in November, the date will be posted soon to come!
