Nona K. Rowles

Nona K. Rowles, 83, of Eastlake, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her children.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, to William and Cora Mae Kidder, Nona moved to Northeast Ohio at a young age and made Lake County her lifelong home. She shared 56 loving years with her husband, Daniel Rowles, and now joins him once again.

Nona was a devoted mother to Daniel V. (Jennifer) Rowles, Lynn Rowles, Elaine (Brian) Garrison, and Laurie (Scott) Gilbert. She delighted in the lives of her grandchildren: Daniel M. (Chrissy) Rowles, Leah (Vince) Capp, Kaleigh Trowbridge, Emily (Greg) Perry, Marie (Kyle) Blum, Dustin Gilbert, Collin (Samantha) Gilbert, Dakota Gilbert, Ian Gilbert and Erin Gilbert. Her joy extended to her great-grandchildren: Lexi, Daniel, Olivia, Kimmie, Emma, Paisley, Aurora, Aria, Nora—and two more baby girls expected in 2026. Known for her thoughtfulness and warmth, Nona never missed a birthday and always celebrated with a heartfelt phone call and the birthday song.

A dedicated worker throughout her life, Nona retired from Wiseco Piston Co. in Mentor. She was an avid reader who found joy in book sales and browsing bookstores to discover new stories to share. A loyal Cleveland Browns fan through thick and thin, she rarely missed a game. She also enjoyed playing bingo with friends—especially her dear friend Dianna Wright.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of the third-floor ICU at Lake West Hospital for their exceptional care.

Nona’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
