A Remembrance of Loved Ones
John Allen Bumbarger
John Allen Bumbarger passed away on December 30, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Katherine Bumbarger, his brother Carl Bumbarger and sister Nancy Peterson.
He is survived by his four sons Dan Bumbarger (Cindy), Allen Bumbarger (Dee Dee), Tom Bumbarger (Janet) and Randy Bumbarger (Andrea), his long time companion Margaret Stoner and his brothers Bob, Rich and Walt Bumbarger and his sister Mary Emert. John had 14 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
John served in the United States Army from 1958 - 1962 before he was honorably discharged. He was stationed in Germany where he met and married Edith. He loved to bowl and was in the same Friday Night Men’s league for 51 years. He also loved to fly in his Power Parachute, and always said it made him feel like a bird. John was a devoted and loving grandfather and attended as many of his grandchildren’s activities as he could.
Family and friends can pay their respects on January 28th, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at Trinity Church located at 9225 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Mentor, OH.
MIA A. HAFLETT
Mia Addams Haflett age 35, of Painesville, Ohio passed away on December 21, 2021, after a long battle with covid. She is a graduate of Mentor High School (2006), and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. An accomplished photographer and artist, she was the co-owner/operator of Covenant Ink in Painesville, where she worked and lived with her best friend, Shanin Storm.
She is survived by her mother and father (Cheryll and Harold Haflett), Grandmother (Priscilla Douglas), Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, her four-legged babies, and her many, many friends.
Family and Friends will be contacted to attend Mia’s Celebration of Life that will be held in the weeks to come. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lake County Humane Society.
Terry M. Potocnik
Terry M. Potocnik age 65, passed away on December 18th 2021. Devoted father of Ashley Bachmann (husband Jeremy), Victoria Potocnik (husband Ronnie Martz), Chistoper Potocnik (wife Brianna). Grandfather of Four. Loving brother of Pamela Rosa. Cherished son of Albert Potocnik (wife Valerie), and the late Barbara Chevako. Uncle of many nephews. Terry was a skilled Union Carpenter, and he will be deeply missed by all. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. A Celebration will be held on Saturday January 22nd at VFW 33641 Vine at Eastlake, OH 44095 at 4:00 P.M.
Theodore Talcott Musgrave
Theodore Talcott Musgrave, 81, from Wickliffe, Ohio, passed away on December 16, 2021. He was born in Mentor, Ohio to Catherine Barbara Musgrave (Talcott) and Theodore F. Musgrave.
He is survived by his 5 children, David Musgrave of Chesterland (wife Denise), Deborah Musgrave of Painesville, Christopher Musgrave of Chardon (wife Wendy), Catherine George of Cincinnati and Haylee Musgrave of Wickliffe. His grandchildren, Dustin Musgrave (wife Megan), Danielle Musgrave, Alexandra Ellis, Vanessa Ellis, Taylor McGee (husband Camden), Brandon Musgrave, Summer Musgrave, Cameron Musgrave, Aspen George, Evan George and Gabriella George. He was also a great grandfather to Kendall McGee, McKenna McGee and December Musgrave. He was preceded in death by his two brothers Robert Musgrave and Richard Musgrave.
He was employed at Towmotor and in 1972, moved his young family from Painesville out to Huntsburg, Ohio to try their hand at farming. In 1975, he then moved to Burton, Ohio. In 1977, he and his wife Barbara opened Master Pizza in Middlefield, Ohio which then became The Same Place. It became a local gathering spot for many and is remembered fondly.
He and the family were involved in AFS, hosting many students for weekends and eventually hosting an exchange student in 1980 to 1981, Bert Hendriks from The Netherlands.
Theodore had many interests including cars and car racing, car shows and rallies, baseball and travel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Candice Marie Anderson
Candice Marie Anderson, 32, of Eastlake, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 16, 2021; surrounded by her loved ones. Candice was the loving daughter of Dean Zarbo and Donna Daly. She graduated from Eastlake North High School.
Candice married her high school sweetheart Charles Anderson III on December 16, 2017.
Candice is survived by her husband, Charles Anderson III; her father Dean (Connie) Zarbo; her brother Nick (Lyndsey) Zarbo; her maternal grandfather Tom Daly Jr.; her paternal grandmother Peggy Zarbo; her dad William (Jessie) Savage; her brother Shaun (Brittany) Savage; her brother Justin Savage; her mother-in-law Jennifer Amato, her Sister-in-law Heather (Kevin Lovey) Anderson; her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Donna Daly; her maternal grandmother Lois Daly; and her paternal grandfather Charles Zarbo. Candice will be missed by her dogs Mariah, Monroe and Xena.
Candice enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, and found great joy just sitting on the beach reading a book. She loved to spend time with family and friends just hanging out enjoying each others company. Candice had a memorable laugh that will forever be remembered by her family and friends.
A Memorial Mass for Candice will be Monday December 27, 2021 2:00 P.M. at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Avenue, Cleveland Ohio 44110; the family will gather for visitation with friends at Noon.
Palmer W. Austin "Bud"
Palmer W. Austin "Bud" age 85. Passed away on December 6, 2021. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Michalski). Son of the late Dorothy Cahaill and Virgil Austin. Loving father of Debra Hawkins, Linda Yax (deceased), Dianna Austin (Sid Savitt), Laura Cala (Mike deceased), Robert Austin, Raymong Austin (Donna), and Sandra Barnard (Jeff). Cherished grandfather of Rick, Eric, Jason, Hawkins, Anthony Austin, Brian Yax, Jamie Burker, Justin Stange, Michael and Paul Cala, Jeffrey, Ryan, and Brandon Barnard. Great-grandfather of several. Loving brother of the late Doloris, Virginia, Dorothy, and John. Bud enjoyed hunting, and was an avid gun collector. He loved his family, and worked at Republic Steel, and Private Security, for many years. He retired from the W.S. Tyler. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
Donald Neal Hocevar
Donald Neal Hocevar, age 62, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully December 3, 2021 in Painesville, Ohio.
Don was born in Cleveland, Ohio, later moved to Painesville, Ohio. After high school, he moved to the Orlando, Florida area. He came back to Painesville at the end of his illness.
He was an employee of Century Air Conditioning and Heating Inc., Orlando Florida. He was a volunteer counselor at the prison and helped those re-entering society.
Don was kind, energetic, a hard worker, had a warm smile, and loved talking to people. He was kind and compassionate with those closest to him. His favorite color was blue. He preferred pocket T-shirts, jeans and hoodies, and loved his NASCAR jacket. He enjoyed looking at and reading about classic cars. His favorite being the 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS. Another enjoyable pastime was weekly bowling with his friend.
His passion was NASCAR racing, he attended several Daytona 500 races. His favorite driver being Jimmy Johnson #48.
He loved his home in Orlando and took pride in landscaping his yard. He listened to classic Rock & Roll music and standup comedy. Don enjoyed his 7/11 coffee and wings; Orange Crush; Ramen noodles; Chunky soup and Ranch Doritos.
Don is survived by his sister, Debbie (Mike) Adams; nephews JJ, Josh (Dawn), Justin Powell; step brother Dennis (Faith) Brown; several great nieces and nephews; and all of his close friends in Pinehills, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother JoAnn Brown; stepfather, Fred Brown; sister, Denise Powell and stepbrother Cary Brown.
A private Graveside memorial service will be held in Ohio at a later date. Donations may be made in Donald’s name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue

Douglas E. Moyer
Douglas E. Moyer, age 55, passed away on December 2, 2021, while in hospice. Doug resided mostly in Willoughby and Eastlake.
Doug graduated from Eastlake North High School, he was a wonderful mechanic, who liked variety and worked on everything he could. He was a member of the Downtown Willoughby Cruise-In Committee. He enjoyed spending time with people and touched many hearts.
He fought a long hard battle with COPD and dementia, leaving behind his close loving wife and friend of 32 plus years, Edith. He also has a son, Stewart A. Moyer, a daughter and close friend, Amanda M. Moyer, and a very loving granddaughter Alexis Moyer. He has also left behind his mother, Gloria Lewis (Richard), his brother David (Patti), and sister Karen (Jim), as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his father Earl (Pat) and brother Daniel (Heidi). In his last months, he grew very fond of and accepted Jasmine Rodgers into his family, she was an aide he gained trust and respect for. He leaves behind many friends and neighbors, of whom some he also considered family.

Corey J. Long
Corey J. Long age 50, of Euclid. Passed away on December 1, 2021. Son of Linda Long, and the late James H. Long Jr. Cherished father of Jessica Ridenour. Loving grandfather of Sophia Ridenour. Brother of Danae Jones ( husband Trustful). Corey was a graduate of Mentor High School. He enjoyed hunting, camping, movies, going to concerts, and gaming. Celebration of Life Service is Saturday December 18, 2021 5:00P.M. at Steel and Honor MC Club, 1340 Dille Road, Euclid, Ohio.
Beverly May Ede
Beverly May Ede died peacefully on November 29, 2021 at the age of 78 in Mentor, Ohio. Born on May 10, 1943, she was a retired nursing assistant. Beverly spent several years specializing in the Alzheimer's unit.
Beverly is survived by her brother Jerome Reynolds (Barb), children Mary Zimmerman (Bob), Clinton Piercy, Teresa Piercy and Tyrone Sircelj (Lisa), her 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Ede, father Ronald Reynolds, mother Ida Reynolds, brothers Ronald and Norman Reynolds, sister Hazel Stone (Ellis) and grandson Steven Kazsmer.
Beverly was best known by her family as being a pillar of strength through life’s adversity. She loved nature and often took her children creek walking and fishing when they were young. Beverly enjoyed puzzles, crafting and painting.
Family and friends are invited to attend services Friday December 3rd (10-11 calling hours; 11 services) at East Heisley’s Church of God, 5544 East Heisley Rd. Mentor, Ohio. There will be a graveside service immediately following services at the church. Services will be officiated by Reverend Hank Williams
Donna K. Neal
Donna K. Neal (nee Bickford) age 77 of Eastlake, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 29, 2021
Donna was born in Fayette County, West Virginia.
Her hobbies included crafting, bowling and bingo!
She is survived by her sister Barbara Clay ,her children Karen (James) Shepherd, Raymond (Moniqua) Neal Jr., Kelly (Martin) Arthur and Keith (Andrea) Neal and her grandchildren Micheal, Nicole, Kyle, Hope, Alexis, Amanda, Lindsey, Katie, Leah, Liam and Lyla
Donna is proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond F Neal, Sr., her son William V Hartman, Jr., her grandsons Jonathon R and Jacob W Mulhauser her sister Patricia McMasters and her parents Clinton and Helen Bickford

William M. Fetsko
William Mitchell Fetsko, age 96, of Eastlake, passed away peacefully in his home on November 26, 2021.
He was born in Hecla, Pennsylvania, the son of Michael and Johanna (Dzuroff) Fetsko. He was a proud Army Air Corps Staff Sergeant, flying 48 missions in a B24 Liberator in the South Pacific in World War II.
He attended and graduated from Penn Commercial College in 1948. He moved to Cleveland and was employed by Lincoln Electric for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Bernice (Matiyasic), and his siblings, Pauline and Robert.
He is survived by his four children: Pam (Blaine) Benko, Gary (Veronica) Fetsko, Paula Fetsko, and Christi (Jay) Morgan.
He was known as "Buddy" to his grandchildren: Michael (Jodi) Fetsko, William Fetsko, Rachel Fetsko, Andrew Fetsko, Greg (Amy) Benko, Jonathan Benko, Tristan Morgan, Alex Morgan, and great-grandsons, Ben and William Fetsko, and many nieces and nephews.
Golfing was a favorite past time; he was in a golf league well into his later years. Fishing in Ligonier, PA with the boys in the family was a tradition since he was a child and continues today. In his later years, it gave him great joy to watch his son, grandson, and great-grandsons play hockey, as well as listen to Big Band music and watch old movies.
He loved his family and loved life. If you asked him how he was doing, he would never complain; his reply was always, "I’m still here!"
As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or visitation. Family and friends will be notified of a graveside service and celebration of life to be held in the spring. Roberta M. Bishop
Roberta M. Bishop (nee Agnes) age 71 of Painesville, passed away peacefully November 25th, 2021. A truly remarkable woman with an infectious laugh. Always ready with a listening ear and clever wit. Consummate hostess and cook of many holiday and family feasts, no one ever left her table hungry. Survived by her devoted husband David, having blessed each other with love for over 43 years. Loving mother of Kimberly Harling (nee Bishop, husband Mark); cherished Grandmother of Justice Harling.
Born in Cleveland to the late Robert and Dorothy Agnes (nee Venglarchik). Dearest sister of the late Dennis and Rosemary Agnes; dearest sister/friend of Sandi Skinner (nee Furlong, husband Byron Sr.) and honorary Aunt to the late Byron Skinner Jr.; beloved “Aunt Bobbi”, cousin and friend to many. It was Bobbi’s wish not to hold services, but for those who love her to raise a glass in her memory and remember the good times of which there are many.
Jack Edward Lebreton
Jack Edward LeBreton passed away at his home in Painesville Ohio on Wednesday, November 24,2021.
Jack is survived by his father Edward senior, brothers Edward Jr and Jeff LeBreton.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Loretta and brother Scott LeBreton.
Jack had a great sense of humor and provided the comic relief at family get togethers. He was a hard worker and also enjoyed volunteer work in his free time. He will be deeply missed by his family , friends, and all who knew him.

Jeannette 'Janet' R. Katona age 84, passed away on November 21, 2021. Loving wife of the late Donald P. Katona. Devoted mother of Diane (deceased) (Billy) Davis of Pennington Gap, Virginia, Paul Katona of Painesville, Ohio, Michael (Melanie) Katona of Mentor, Ohio, David (Charlotte) Katona of W. Bradenton, Florida, Mary (Jim) Grogan of Little Falls, New York, and Dennis (Beth) Katona of Painesville, Ohio
Cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 17. Janet was preceded in death by her parents William and Alverna Bregitzer, brother William Bregitzer Jr and her sister Marlene Reynolds.
Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, doing ceramics, puzzles and working on puzzle books. She loved going to plays at the Rabbit Run Theater and Playhouse Square. She also enjoyed preparing dinners for her family on the holidays.
She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor, Ohio.

William Schaefer
William Schaefer of Chardon, Ohio passed away on November 20th, 2021 at the age of 62 after a difficult struggle with cancer.
He was a skilled carpenter who loved fishing, sports, and reading.
He was proceeded in death by his mother and father Phyllis and Donald Schaefer.
He is survived by partner Joyce Milburn, daughter Elizabeth Milburn, son-in-law Francis Herrera, and grandsons Elijah, Ezra, and Evan Herrera.
He was a brother to Robert Johnson, Brenda and Mike Sr (deceased) Strazinsky, Brian Schaefer, and Laura Schaefer.
He was an uncle to Mike Jr. Strazinsky and Heather Schettler, Nathan and Julia Prendergast, and McKhala and Brhandon Schaefer.
We love you forever Bill.
Joseph A. Prather
Joseph A. Prather age 87, passed away on November 20, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father,Argie Sr. , mother, Doris Prather, and former wife, Robbie B. Prather. He was the father of An’ Angelia (Keith) Thompson, Antwon (Roberta) Prather, Michele (Joseph) Alford ( All of Lake County), and the grandfather of Nicholas (Heather) Thompson (Lake County), Michael (Nadia) Thompson of Orange County, CA. Brother of Mable King (Milwaukee, WI), Sophie Prather (Selmer, TN), and the late Argie Prather Jr. He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews. Joseph enjoyed fishing, and was a shift supervisor. Geraldine "Gerri" Kay Grace
Geraldine, “Gerri” Kay Grace, 85, of Newbury, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the home of her third daughter Edith Mzik, her loving caregiver, on November 17, 2021. She was born on June 22,1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, the only child of James A. Grace and Gertrude (Sandborn) Grace.
Gerri graduated from John Hay High School. She was an avid reader, loved history and doing the family Genealogy. Gerri also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was an advocate for animal rights and loved all animals, especially her beloved cats throughout her life.
She worked in real estate while also working for White Motor Corporation as an executive administrative assistant. She then worked for TRW in the same position, retiring in 2001. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerri enjoyed her retirement and taking many trips to Walt Disney World with her children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Catherine Louise (John) Fockler of Boardman, Ohio, Virginia Kay (William Thompson) Miller of Jefferson, Ohio, Edith Marie (Thomas) Mzik of Chardon, Ohio and James Arthur Miller of Mentor, Ohio. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Joshua Mzik, Morgan Mzik, Cameron Fockler, Chandlee Fockler, Jennifer Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Jacob Thompson and Cindy Carroll. She also leaves behind five great grandchildren.

Cynthia L. Corby
Cynthia L. Corby (nee Sheck) age 64. Passed away on November 16, 2021. Cherished mother of Daniel Corby and Ben Corby, and former husband Raymond Corby. Sister of William (Lisa), Sheck, Eric (Joni) Sheck, Susan Balas, Sandra Berry, Adam Sheck, Kristin Baumgardner, Kathryn Sheck, John Sheck, and Mark (Doreen) Sheck. Cynthia was an Aunt and friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents Gilbert Sheck in 1971 and Florence Edelman in 2021. A Graveside Service will be held December 4, 2021 at 11:00A.M. James N. Sutherin
James N Sutherin age 97, passed away on November 12, 2021.
His friends will recall him as a man who lived his beliefs treating all others with integrity and respect. He lived by addition, avoiding negativity and complaints. His wife of 70 years (Dona) and his family were the core of his life. The majority of his career was as principal of Sutherin-Melling Insurance, a three generation family business.
A WWII Navy vet, a Bedford Hall of Fame inductee, and a Denison University commendation recipient, Jim was deeply involved in his community as Boy Scout leader, church leader, Rotary President, and Bedford Rotary Foundation president. He was also an outstanding athlete in football, basketball, baseball, and tennis.
His wife, Dona, and son Tom predeceased him. His son Dan and wife Kristen reside in Chagrin Falls OH and daughter Sharna and wife Pam reside in Gallup New Mexico. He had five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
