Victor John Nared

Victor John Nared passed away peacefully on Monday March 6, 2023 at the age of 91 years old.
Born on February 27, 1932 to John and Fannie Nared, he was the youngest of 5 children. Victor
graduated from Thomas High School, located in Pierce, West Virginia, in 1951. He enlisted in the
Army that same year. He was stationed in Europe and spent most of his time in Ulm, Germany. He
graduated from the 110th Infantry regiment non commissioned officer academy receiving his first
proficient award in 1952 and consecutive awards from the Seventh Army as an NCO instructor through 1953.

In 1954 Victor was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant from the Army. Upon
returning home, he attended Vale Technical Institute Inc., located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. He
became certified in Automotive Techniques and Management on August 17, 1956. It was at that
institute he met the love of his life, Barbara. Exactly one year later, August 17, 1957, they were married at St. Simon and Jude church. They then moved to Cleveland and in 1960 they started their family. Victor worked for and retired from Picker X-Ray as a supervisor. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved traveling and playing video poker. Victor enjoyed sharing stories about his time in the service. He also really enjoyed gardening and relaxing in his backyard which he named “the peaceful valley”. He volunteered at St. John Vianney Church. Victor was a talented woodworker and made some very beautiful works of art with his scroll saw.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents John and Fannie Nared. Brothers Joe Kaucic and
Frank Kaucic and sisters Molly Merrit and Virginia Cersley. He is also preceded in death by his
daughter-in-law Melanie Nared and infant great-grandson Michael Nared.
Victor is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara and his sons David Nared, Paul (Kathi)
Nared. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Heppner(Craig), John Nared, Sandy Nared,
Alexa Nared (fiance Rae Smith). His great-grandchildren Shandi Bohatch, Jeffrey Sato Bohatch
(Isabella), Hannah Bohatch, Jenna Bohatch (fiance Jake Daub), Mason Nared, Dakari Smith, Tyler and Austin Heppner and his great-great grandson Oliver Daub. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Respecting Victor's wishes, there will be no viewing. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
