Phillip P. Misch Sr.

Phillip P. Misch Sr., a pillar of strength, integrity, and expertise in his field, passed away on April 12, at the age of 83. Born on December 27, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, Phillip was the eldest son of Paul D. and Marian H. Misch (Kuttner).

Phillip's journey began at St. Joseph's High School in Euclid. He furthered his education at Fenn College, which is now known as Cleveland State University.

On June 23, 1962, Phillip embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship as he married the love of his life, Bonita (Sole). Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.

Throughout his illustrious career, Phillip dedicated decades of hard work and dedication to Mayfran in Mayfield and American Alloy in Independence, Ohio. His unparalleled expertise in sourcing, steel, forgings, and castings earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike.

Phillip's legacy extends far beyond his professional achievements. He was a devoted husband, father, and a doting grandfather. His wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Phillip leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity. He is survived by his children: Phillip P. Jr. (Betty), Gretchen Harris (Dale), Daniel (Noelle), Eric, Kenneth, and Stephanie. Additionally, he is survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his 15th great-grandchild this summer.

He is also survived by his siblings: John (Jacqueline), Matthew (Kathy), Elaine Durrance, Clare O'Brien (William), Michael (Jeannine), and Mark (Nicole). Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marian, his brother-in-law William, his grandson Kyle, and his beloved wife Bonita.

Phillip's kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Even in times of personal deprivation, he emulated the spirit of St. Francis, selflessly giving to others and leaving a profound impact on all whose lives he touched.

Though Phillip may have left behind little material wealth, his legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will continue to inspire others. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.

The family would also like to thank his Granddaughter Alexandra for directing his care for the last few years of his earthly life.

Internment and a small graveside service will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, OH. on May 16, 2024 at 11:00 am.
