Howard Vencent “Vince” Wilson.
On February 28, 2024, Vince, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid, Ohio. Vince was 75 years old. Born on August 31, 1948, in Camden-on-Gauley, West Virginia, Vince was the third child, and first son of Wardell and Mildred (McMillion) Wilson. He grew up surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains which shaped his character and transformed him into the resilient and spirited man he became. Throughout his life, Vince pursued his passion for motorcycles and delighted in sharing tales of his adventures and experiences, particularly those from his time growing up. He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. Later in life, Vince was a machinist by trade and worked at Kennametal for over twenty years. Vince was preceded in death by his sisters Carol (Wilson) Cutlip and Freda (Wilson) McCord, brother-in-law Lonnie McCord, and daughter Nicole (Wilson) Gonalez. He is survived by three of his children, Melissa (George) Burke, Vincent Wilson (Karen Mize), and Anthony Wilson (Tiffany Lastoria), and brother Ray Allen (Nancy) Wilson. Beyond his role as a father, Vince found immense joy in being a grandfather to his five grandchildren, Vivianna, George, Eris, Camden, and Hunter. He adored each one dearly, showering them with love, laughter, and cherished memories. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed. Vince's legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He touched the lives of his family and friends with his kindness, generosity, and indomitable spirit, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire long after his passing.
A celebration of life will be held on August 31, 2024, to honor his 76th birthday.
