Bud C. Wolfe
August 7, 1933 - December 5, 2018
Bud Charles Wolfe, 85, of Painesville, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at TriPoint Medical Center in Painesville. He was born August 7, 1933 in Painesville to David and Viola Wolfe. Bud was a proud retiree from Mentor Schools where he served as a custodian for 18 years and was a former employee of The Diamond Shamrock Corp. Bud was a long-time member of the Painesville VFW. Bud was a proud resident and historian of the city of Painesville, Ohio. He also loved watching the Cleveland Indians.He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy (Ketola/Chinchar), step daughter-in-law Vikki Chinchar of Mentor, Ohio, Step son Richard Chinchar (Cindy) of Mauldin, South Carolina, Step daughter Roberta Hoback (Barry) of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and Step son Ronald Chinchar of Westlake, Ohio. Also countless step grand, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by a sister Berniece Smith (Hugh) of Painesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Doris (Wolfe) Vaughn and Step son, Robert Chinchar.
In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.

Phyllis J. Houston
March 21, 1930 - December 8, 2018
Phyllis Jean (Dishman) Houston, age 88, passed away December 8, 2018 at Precious Care Assisted Living in Concord Township, Ohio. She was born March 21, 1930 in Moundsville, WV the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Dalrymple) Dishman. For nearly 60 years Phyllis was a devoted homemaker and lived in Vienna, Ohio, later moving to Concord Township in the Summer of 2015, where she took up residence at Pine Hill Country Care. The last 3 weeks of her life were spent at Precious Care Assisted Living. Phyllis enjoyed her time at home crocheting, doing word search puzzles, cooking and especially baking. She loved all animals, in particular birds that she fed with regularity. For many years she gardened, producing an abundance of vegetables, that she canned for future use. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Howland, where she worshipped, and often took day trips with other members.
She is survived by her siblings, Mary Garrison, John Dishman, Sarah Anderson West, and Ron Dishman; sister-in-law, Betty (Guthrie) Dishman; many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Patrick Houston on December 8, 1995; siblings, James Dishman (Vivian), Delores Martin (Keith), Fredrick Dishman, Peg Mason (Gene), and Betty Strait (Tom); sister-in-law, Sharon Dishman; brother-in-laws, Richard Anderson and Jim West.
At her request, there will be no services. Burial will be next to her husband in Jacksonville Cemetery, Wind Ridge, PA. The family wish to express their deepest and most sincere appreciation to the staff of Pine Hill Country Care, Precious Care and the wonderful "Angels" that are the support team from Hospice of the Western Reserve. You all made Phyllis' time with you meaningful and full of love. May God continue to bless you and your work.

Carl E. Stalker
January 16, 1963 - December 5, 2018
Carl Everett Stalker, 55, of Cleveland (originally of Mentor) passed away on December 5, 2018 at Manor Care Euclid Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis E. Stalker and Virginia D. Stalker of Mentor, sisters Tina (Shaw) Tyneski and Linda (Shaw) Ippolito.
He is survived by his brother Mike (Carol) Shaw, sisters Terri (Shaw) Massucci and Marlene (Stalker) Seuffert, many nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, and friends.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville. Service will be private.

Bessie M. Bilinovich (nee Pritchett) Beloved wife of John (deceased); mother of Phyllis Maynard and Dale Kushner (Dawn); grandmother of Tasha (deceased), Anthony, Devon (Kayla), Ronald, Heather, and Michelle; Great-grandmother of Todd Kushner, Tristen, Anthony Jr., Caleb, Ellie, Hannah, Hailey, Khloe, Kiara, Braydon, Miah, and Aaron.
John E. Jones
November 12, 1930 - November 15, 2018
John E. Jones was born November 12, 1930 in Greenville, Alabama, and gave his life to Christ at an early age. He then married Ethel Jones at the tender age of 17 after being high school sweethearts, and they were married 60 plus years until his passing. John had a long-term working relationship with Picker Industries for 30 plus years. John was known well for his impeccable style, which was often imitated, but NEVER duplicated!! John E. Jones departed this life peacefully on November 15, 2018. He leaves to mourn his memory, his wife Ethel Jones; 7 Siblings, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He also leaves behind 6 daughters - Sherry Banks, Dreama and Crystal Prince, Robin Hester, Veronica Peterson, and Loleta Russell plus a numerous host of loved relatives and friends.
His body is gone, but his loving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him forevermore.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 3p-6p at Tuckers Casino 15532 Euclid Ave. East Cleveland, Ohio

Robert Lee Hoberg
Robert Lee Hoberg, age 72, of Mentor, was born on March 24, 1946 in Southern Ohio and died on November 14, 2018 in Willoughby, Ohio.
Survivors are his wife and best friend for 49 years, Dianne (nee: Dempsey) Hoberg; son, Christopher Hoberg; daughter, Diana Hoberg; grandsons, C.J. Burns, Brandon Hoberg and Nic Hoberg; former daughter-in-law, Carrie Krueger. Also two adorable great-grandsons, Damon Lee Burns and Brantleigh Burns and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ethel Hoberg; sister, Anna J. Pavlick; brothers, Dale Hoberg and Dick Batterson; nephew, Keith Hoberg.
He had worked as a draftsman and store manager. He was good at sports and enjoyed camping and playing cards.
He was a member of the Grand River congregation of Jehovah Witnesses...Rev. 21:4 says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Lee was a happy man that loved us and we loved him back. Until we see you again, Your Family.
A note from his grandsons: Our amazing grandpa passed away 11/14/2018. He was so full of life and made us laugh all the time whether it be stories of his LOL magic things he liked to do or even just from shooting pool or playing darts in the garage. He was always loving and kind to everyone, always respectful to everyone, us grandchildren always sat around to hear his stories. He was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandfather. You will be missed a lot but not forgotten. Love you grandpa.

Brenda J. McCool
Brenda Joyce McCool, 64 years old, passed on November 3rd at her home. She was born in Strongsville in 1953. Brenda was a resident of Mentor-on-the-Lake for 14 years. She was a former resident of Conway, South Carolina as well as Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Brenda was full of life. She had a passion for gardening and loved and valued her family above anything else. She was patient, kind, open-minded, and supportive of anyone who needed help. She was a JcPenny custom drapes and furniture specialist for 14 years. She is survived by her siblings: brother Ronald Sharpnack, sister Carol Howard, sister Denise Del Rosa, and brother Rodney Sharpnack. Her children: daughter Leslie Greiner and son Daniel Greiner. Her granddaughter: Lauren Greiner and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as two step-grandchildren. She joins her husband Dan “The Cab Man” McCool and her parents Audrey and Frank Sharpnack, her brother-in-law Scott Del Rosa, and nephew Byron Sharpnack in peaceful rest. Service for celebration of life will be Friday, November 9th at 3 p.m. at Mentor United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions, in Brenda’s memory, can be made to the family.
Donald A. Calderwood
Donald A. Calderwood, my son, passed away on Saturday, October 27th, at Euclid Hospital in Euclid, Ohio. I and my family are in grief to announce this, and the onset of the crippling of joy and the beginning or deep misery at the loss of such a wonderful, kind, and caring soul who had such possibilities in this abbreviated life, and whom we loved heart and soul. Only 37, this is a tragedy on so many levels and a huge loss. He is survived by immediate family, father Donald S., mother Lois J., and sister, Jessica Calderwood. Don was a lifelong resident of Wickliffe and Euclid, Ohio, graduating from Wickliffe High before attending John Carrol U. where he was a National Honor Society member.
The purpose of this notice is to alert his friends or family, as may be, and all who knew Don, that our family is organizing a memorial service to pay respects to Don locally.

Date/Time: Sunday, November 18, 1 to 4 p.m.
Program: Arrival at 1, service beginning at 1:30 with a welcome, a prayer, and eulogies by immediate family, followed by attendees who knew Don who wish to share positive memorial comments in tribute to Don, and then light refreshments.

Harvey Liechti
Harvey Liechti, age 84, of Painesville, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his home.
He was born February 18, 1934 in Cleveland, the son of the late John and Jenny Liechti. A graduate of Collinwood High School, he went on to serve honorably in the US Navy.
Harvey was a member of the Operating Engineers Union, and was a master mechanic his whole life and was an avid car enthusiast and restorer.
He is survived by his children, Cindy Adorni and Dan (Patty) Liechti; grandchildren, Nick Adorni and Jason, Colin, Ann & Brian Liechti; great-grandchildren, Ronan & Arlo Liechti; sisters, Marcia and June.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (nee White) Liechti and his parents.
There will be no service.
Steve F. Zimmerman
It is with great sadness that the family of Steve F. Zimmerman, a long-time resident of Eastlake, Ohio, announces his passing after a long illness on October 25, 2018, at the age of 65 years at Altercare of Mentor.
Steve will be remembered by his wife Barbara, step-children Michael (JoAnna) Simpson, Laura (Erik) Poje, and grandchildren Maria, Ryan, Mark and Aiden. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother Frank (Arlene), sister Rose Woods, sister-in-law Cheryl, as well as by his nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his brother Mark, and sister Linda Velechek.
Steve was very proud to be an Eagle Scout and a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an amazing cook who loved to share his passion for food with everyone. However, his biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with his four grandchildren; he was their biggest fan and cheerleader.
A memorial service will be held at Mentor United Methodist Church on November 5, 2018 at 7pm.

Gail Featheringham
Gail Featheringham, age 70, of North Fort Meyers, FL, loving sister, aunt and friend, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Hospice House in Cleveland.
She was born October 28, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Jack and Norma (nee Lauer) Conrad.
Gail is survived by her sister, Barbara (James) McMahan.
Niece, Kimberly (Andrew) Wright and children, Meredith (John Michael) Honaker & Garrett Wright.
Nephew, Kenneth (Paige) Palladino and children, Nick (Leigh) Palladino & Isabella Palladino.
Also survived by many loved friends and relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 28870 Chardon Rd (Rt. 6), Willoughby Hills, OH. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until the time of service at 3:30pm.

Mark J. Brockway “Lou”
September 7, 1952 - October 20, 2018
Mark (66) peacefully sailed away from this world on Saturday October 20th, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 7, 1952 in New Jersey. Mark was a beloved husband to Jennifer Rose (Grace), recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Proud Father of Nathan Louis and Emily Grace. His family was his prized possession.
Well known as “Mr. B”, Mark was a school bus driver for 26 years at Cardinal Local School District and pridefully a OAPSE active union member.
Mark had a passion for all sports especially baseball which followed him through his life, from playing on leagues in Meigs County, OH to 21 years of officiating for OHSAA.
Mark was an exceptional cook, he had a huge appreciation of music and it continues to flow through his cherished Huntsburg home. Mark loved to travel, see the world and family vacations were mandatory. From backpacking across Canada to later RV travels with his wife. He was an accomplished horseshoe pitcher. Marks consistent letters to family and friends will surely be missed.

Visitation to be held Saturday, October 27th 4 o'clock, service at 6 o’clock at Cardinal Middle School Auditorium in Middlefield, OH. Family burial on Sunday at Huntsburg Cemetery.
Gary A. Scoville
Gary A. Scoville, age 48, of Fairport Harbor, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Hospice House.
He was born October 30, 1969 in Geneva, Ohio, the son of the late Richard and Virginia (nee Smith) Scoville.
Gary was an active member of the Fairport Harbor Congregational Church and in his spare time enjoyed working on his cars and listening to music.
He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl (Steven) Janes and Diane Scoville.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

March 19, 1933 - October 17, 2018
Dearly beloved husband of Margaret (deceased); father of Edward Jr. (Lori), John (Sandy), James (Nancy), and Jeffrey (Karen); grandfather of Joseph (Kimberly), Michael (Lindsay), Gregory, Alexa, Jeffrey, Johnny, and Mark; great-grandfather of Cayden, Evan, Ava, and Addison; brother of Mary Ann Dalton (Richard) (both deceased); companion of Nadia Mutter; brother in law and uncle of many.Edward was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the 101stAirborne Division.

Kathleen E. Keidel
Kathleen E. Keidel, age 74, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Hospice of the Western Reserve.
She was born March 13, 1944 in Norwich, CT, the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (nee Palmerick) Churney and has been a long time resident of Eastlake. She and her husband Tom retired to Cape Coral, Florida, where she enjoyed volunteering and socializing with her many, many friends.
Survivors are her children, Derreck (Melanie), Thomas Jr (Pamella), Denise (Bill), and Therese Thompson (Gary). Her Grandchildren Joseph (Marissa), Nella, Thomas III (Carla), Andrew (Lindsay), Damien (Brianna), Brittany (Will), Derreck Jr. (Becky). Great-Grandchildren Keelee, Nicholas, Anthony, Alana, Cameron, Ashton, and Carter. Brother Martin Churney (Jan), and sisters Christine Hill and Karen Churney.
Preceding her in death are her husband Thomas, and her parents Martin and Catherine.
Her family and friends were the light of her life, as she was of theirs. Her compassionate spirit and quick wit will be deeply missed.

Linda K. Barnard
Linda K. Barnard, 76, of Euclid, formerly of Eastlake, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Lake West Medical Center.
She was born June 22, 1942 in Mineral County, WV the daughter of the late Alden and Evelyn (nee Harvey) Barnard.
Linda was a hardworking woman and retired from both KMart and Yanesh Construction. She was also a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting Native American arts and crafts.
She is survived by her children; Don (Pam) Barnard, Jeff (Sandy) Barnard, Jeanni (Stephen) Blaker, and Sharmalee (Mark) Miller; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alden and Evelyn (nee Harvey) Barnard; son, Lloyd Barnard; companion, Don Spriggs.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
