Daughter of the late Delbert and Josephine Thomas; dear sister of the following deceased Virginia Polas (Clifford), Carole Whelpley (Richard), and living sister Barbara Flick (Roger). Beloved aunt and great-aunt to many. Precious friend to hundreds. Anyone who knew Veronica knew she had the sweetest soul. Her happiness came from helping others. Veronica genuinely enjoyed taking care of people. Whether it was a check-up phone call to a friend, a bowl of homemade noodle soup for her daughter, a dog-sitter at the last moment for her nephew, or babysitting her grandchildren, she found purpose and joy in watching others burdens be lifted. She would encourage others who were having a bad day to “change your thinking.” According to Veronica, with the right mindset, anything can be accomplished. Veronica was an avid bird lover. Her entire life she could be seen refilling her birdfeeders no matter where her address was. One of her favorite memories was handfeeding the chickadees at the F.A.
