BORYS "BO-BO" KORDUBA
January 5, 1947 - January 17, 2016
Borys "Bo-Bo" Korduba, Sr. (69) passed away Sunday 01/17/16 at SW General Hospital after complications from surgery. Youngest son of George and Maria Korduba (deceased); little brother of Taras and Zdan Korduba (deceased); loving father of Borys Jr., Andrew and Lisa Korduba.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the Weymouth Country Club located at 3946 Weymouth Road, Medina, Ohio, 44256, on FRIDAY 01-22-16 from 5-9pm. Friends and family welcome; food and beverage provided.
VERONICA DEMEZA
July 10, 1955 - January 16, 2016
Veronica DeMeza (nee Krukowski), age 60, passed away on January 16, 2016, at home surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. She was born July 10, 1955, in Cleveland, and lived in Willowick for the last 26 years. She is survived by are her loving husband of 41 years, Ronald B. DeMeza; daughters Elena Marie DeMeza-Jeavons and Roni Beth Schimmels, Jr. (David); sister Barb Dietrich, and brother James Kurk. She was also a doting grandmother to Kyle, Samantha, Ethan, Alison, and Sydney. She was taken from us too soon and will always be remembered.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:00pm on Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake, followed by a brief service. A private internment will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 for the immediate family at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.

RUDOLPH KNIFIC
November 4, 1926 - January 9, 2016
Rudolph Knific “Rudy” age 89 passed away January 9 at Hospice of the Western Reserve, surrounded by 4 generations of his family. Always sharing a smile, joke or laugh, Mr. Knific was beloved by his community, friends, and all who came in contact with him and his upbeat approach to life. Genuinely interested in others, he was never too busy to learn about them and their families.
A graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Music with a specialization in the double bass, Mr. Knific pursued his career performing in various venues while developing, owning, and operating an independent insurance agency. After 38 years in both industries, he retired yet maintained his active interest in music by playing with The Hillcrest Community Orchestra and Lakeland Civic Band. He was also an active member of Rotary and a past Master of Lion Heart Lodge achieving 32nd Degree.
After retiring, Mr. Knific enjoyed traveling with his wife, woodworking, outdoor activities, attending the theater, spending time with his family and his “kids”.
He is survived by his wife, Zita, sister Gloria Pracek, children Randolph (Karen), Thomas (Renata), and Donald, grandchildren John (Christine), Gene, Carrie, Christopher, Nina and David. He was predeceased by his parents and brother John.
According to Mr. Knific’s wishes no wake will be held and funeral services are private.

JOSHUA ARTHUR KLESS
January 23, 1982 - January 4, 2016
Joshua Arthur Kless, 33, of Mentor, passed away on January 4, 2016. He was born on January 23, 1982. Josh was loved by his family and will be missed dearly by his loving parents, Karen (nee Ayers) and Rich Ward and Sam and Gretchen Kless. He was the loving daddy of Sophia (Mom, Carrie), theproud brother of Jeremy (Kaylee), Jon Drago, and Kalee, and the fun-loving uncle of Giana and Juliana (Mom, Concetta) and Gracie; dearest grandson of Helen “Nana” and Gene “Pa” Ayers, Flo “Nana” and Arthur (deceased) Kless, and Richard and Carolyn Ward; great grandson of Betty Anderson, Gerald and Betty (both deceased) Chisholm, and Arthur and Adele (both deceased) Kless; Dear nephew of Laurie Hughey (Jake); Kathy Hearn (Patrick) , Julie, Janet Jagiela (Dieter), Jerry, Gary (Jennifer); Cousin of Chris Hearn (Cherie), Matt Hearn (Dana), Kim Hearn-Vance (Keith), Destiney Hearn, Romona, Cory, Ryan, Andrew Ross (Tiffany), Shayne Smith (Jez), Shawn Mallon, and Zack Ross (Bea); Second cousin of Gabriel, Olivia, Nicholas, Milo, Oliver, Bria, Harley, Shelby, and Jackson.
Josh loved his family and lived for the time he spent with them; on walks, sharing meals, and hanging out by the fire or pool. He was a fan of the Buckeyes, the Browns and all other sports. He was athletic and was an excellent golfer, always showing off his skills to his grandfather, “Pa.” He enjoyed the constant care packages sent to him by his grandmother, “Nana.” Josh was enthusiastic about the possibilities life held for him, and was committed to the Lord, carrying his Bible with him everywhere. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all. The greatest love of his life was his daughter, Sophia; his happiest moments when he was hugging or playing with her. His family was proud of him and acknowledges how hard he tried to succeed. He is now at peace. ~John 3:16~
A celebration of Josh’s life will be held on Sunday, January 17th at 2pm at Willoughby United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Joshua A. Kless Memorial Fund at Huntington Bank. All funds will be donated to local organizations that are committed to helping those who are fighting addiction, including the Lake House in Painesville, Ohio.
GARY JOE RICE
January 24, 1958 - December 31, 2015
Gary Joe Rice, 57, a resident of Geneva, OH for the past 4 years, passed away on December 31, 2015. He was born on January 24, 1958 in Painesville OH. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Mentor, He is survived by his wife Donna Horwatt Rice; siblings Ronald Rice, Sharon Vanstone (Chris); son Christopher Rice (Corianna); grandchildren CJ, Kirsten, Kassie Cudnik; uncle Ralph Freeman; niece Linda Owens. Gary was preceded in death by his parents George and Glenna Rice; sisters Deborah A. Kerby, Caroline Elaine Rice; grandparents Thelma and Glenn Freeman, Irene and James Rice; uncle David Freeman.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, OH on Friday January 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
E. KARL KMENTT
March 12, 1929 - December 27, 2015
E. Karl Kmentt, age 86, of Concord Township, Ohio passed away December 27, 2015 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, sister Elfrieda Lewis and brother Richard Kmentt.
Karl leaves behind his daughter, Kimberly Kmentt of Littleton, CO; son, Dr. Bradley Kmentt, daughter-in-law Diana, and grandchildren Ashleigh and Michael of Kirtland, OH; his beloved dog Bogie; sister Hildegarde (Curly) Thomas of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; brother Waldemar Kmentt of NC; and special nieces Jean Farinacci of Cuyahoga Falls and Judy Taylor of SC and many other loving family and friends.
Karl was a native of Akron, OH and a lifelong employee of the General Electric Co. He was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns, an avid golfer and enjoyed many friendships as part of the Quail Hollow C.C. “Dawn Patrol”. His only regret is NOT being able to vote against Hillary Clinton in the next presidential election.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karl’s memory to the Lake Humane Society or to Hospice of the Western Reserve both in Mentor, Ohio.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 am.
