Tereasa Kirkpatrick

Tereasa Kirkpatrick, (nee Henderson) age 54 , passed away Friday morning, April 24th after a brief decline being diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in January of this year. She died at home with her family, as was her wish. She joins her mother who recently also passed.

Born May 10, 1965 to Faye and Bill Potts, she grew up in Painesville, Ohio and raised her children in Eastlake, Ohio. For the past 15 years she worked with the volunteers and recipients of the Lake County on Aging Meals on Wheels program as the Site Director in Mentor . They all meant the world to her.

Tereasa’s love for her husband and family knew no bounds. She had awesome artistic talent, a love for crafting and she generously shared her gifts. Her compassion earned her many friends throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Shawn; her children Jessica and Steven Malave and Matthew Kirkpatrick, and step son, Shawn (Jackie) Kirkpatrick; her father, Bill Potts; her sister, Annette Potts; her brother, Huey Henderson; her grandchildren, Abigail , Mercedes, Celeste, Adelina and Bethany, and many other family members and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life event scheduled in the near future when it is safe for all to gather together and truly celebrate her life.
