Richard “Rich” S. Edsall, 74 years of age, of Novelty, OH, died unexpectedly, but peacefully in his home on October 27, 2019.  He was born in East Haven, Connecticut to Eleanor Luchtenberg (Edsall) and Howard R. Edsall on August 11, 1945.  He graduated from Branford High School and went on to receive his Master of Art Degree in anthropology from Idaho State University.  He married Mary Ann Edsall (Dyer) on May 23, 1970 in Kimble Battery Park, Washington, DC.  They adopted their only daughter, Melissa, in February 1978.  Richard and Mary Ann were married for 47 years.  Richard worked for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) in Cleveland, OH for several years before retiring and living out the rest of his natural life in Novelty. He had a genuine interest and love for nature, knowledge and a good discussion. He could often be found “playing” in his garden or digging in the dirt.  He enjoyed hikes, kayaking, traveling and taking care of his cat, Baracka.  He also enjoyed spending hours in the library expanding his knowledge of mathematics or history.  Above all, he took great pride in his wife, Mary Ann and his daughter, Melissa. 

Richard S. Edsall is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Ann Edsall, Eleanor Edsall (Mother), Howard R. Edsall (Father) and Linda Edsall Winward (Sister).  

Richard S. Edsall is survived by his daughter Melissa J. Edsall (French), and Brian T. French (spouse), Barbara Ann Dyer (dear niece), George Dyer (dear nephew), Richard Booth (cousin), Robin Booth (cousin), Bonnie Cameron (cousin), Polly Gustems (cousin), Nan O’Brien (cousin), Jane Kochman (dearest family friend) and Baracka (cherished cat). 

A private memorial service will be established later in which Mary Ann and Richard Edsall will be laid to their final resting place in Hamburg, New Jersey.

Richard D. Carolus

June 12, 1951 - January 13, 2018

Richard D. Carolus, 66, of Perry, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at TriPoint Medical Center. Richard was born June 12, 1951 in Erie, PA, the son of the late Richard and Eleanor (nee Parker) Carolus.  He has been a resident of Perry for the past 25 years and retired from Lakeland Community College after more than 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (nee Brandt); children, Scott Carolus and Tracy Morrow; granddaughter, Alexis Morrow; brother, Russell Carolus; sisters, Donna Pietrantozzi and Debby Agrippa.

At his request, there will be no services.

Charles Richard Egner

June 30, 1954 - August 25, 2017

Charles R. Egner age 63 of Eastlake, passed away on August 25. Beloved father of Lisa Zolman (Andy); grandfather of Zachary and Alexander Zolman; brother of Lee Egner (Bonnie) and Tim Egner (Jean); uncle of many; preceded in death by his wife Jeanne Egner; siblings Arthur “Skip” Egner, Jodie Egner, and Margie Silvaggio.

RICHARD ALEXANDER JONES JR. "DICK"

June 15, 1937 - October 4, 2016

Richard Alexander Jones Jr. “Dick” recently of Painesville, Ohio, took his rest in heaven Tuesday October 4. Loving husband of Carolyn (nee Pavli); father of Craig D. Jones (Donna), Jerilyn Marie Turnamian (Scott), and Sharon Leigh Stoner (Jason); grandfather of Lauren Ramirez (Jose), Ashleigh Kincaid (John), Bryan Cates (Betsy), William Sullivan, Samantha Leigh, Spencer Alexander; great grandfather of Levi Charles, Camille Sullivan, Stella Grace. Dick retired after 35 years as a regional sales manager for Federal Products Inc.  in RI.  He was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.  He built their lovely home on St. Helena Island in Beaufort SC.  He loved to fly his plane, sail, and play golf.  His remains will be brought to RI where his parents and sister are laid to rest.  As he wished there will be no funeral or memorial service.  Instead, there will be a celebration of his life with family in Rhode Island.
