Susan M. Sprafka

In loving memory of Susan M. Sprafka, age 62, who passed away on March 23, 2023. Born on February 28, 1961, Susan was a lifelong resident of Lake County. She loved reading, tinkering around the house, working in her beautiful garden but most of all, spending time on the water and hanging out with her boating friends at the Mentor Lagoons where she worked for 15 years. Loving mother of John Jeffrey Sprafka; grandmother of Tyler Anthony Digiorgi; beloved sister of Melissa Fransko (Michael), Thomas Galey, Christine Maltbie, Robin Galey, Sharon Galey, Randy Slovinsky; aunt to 9 nieces and nephews; cherished friend of Abby and Vicky as well as Scott and many other friends in the boating community. Susan is preceded in death by her former husband, John J. Sprafka and her parents, Karen and Dale Galey.

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun

Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.

Think how she must be wishing that we could know today

How nothing but our sadness, can really pass away.

And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched

For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
