John Brooks Sr.

Memorial service for John Brooks Sr., 76, of Mentor will be at 4PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at  Mentor Baptist Church, 7500 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor, Ohio. The Rev. Brian Landrum of will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 3-4-PM Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the church followed by the service with a comfort meal afterwards.

Born January 13, 1944 in Houston, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Mentor.

John passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Lake West Hospital, Willoughby, Ohio.
John was a welder at Lincoln Electric and Kase Equipment, where he retired from. John was an  avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his family! 

Survivors are his sons, John Jr.(Tina) Brooks and Jeff Brooks; grandchildren,  David Brooks and Matthew (Hope) Brooks;; 2 great-grandchildren, Hanna and Matthew Jr..

John was preceded in death by his wife, Beverlee and daughter Barbie. 

The family encourages contributions to Mentor Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
