A Remembrance of Loved Ones

Anne Zuchowski Anne Zuchowski

Robert A. Murzyn

May 22, 1938 – March 8, 2023

Beloved and cherished father of Melissa Murzyn Scott, Connie Murzyn and Nina Murzyn and devoted grandfather to Justin Scott.  Loving brother to Beverly (Murzyn) Laddis (Tony deceased), dear uncle to Tony Laddis (deceased), Dean Laddis, Dawn (Laddis) Pavone (Chris), great-uncle to Michael, Anthony, Christopher and Marisa and dear cousin to many.  He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Helen Murzyn (Miklavcic). Former dear husband to Nicolette (Mazza, deceased), former brother-in law to Vince and Pam (Conley) Mazza (both deceased) and dear uncle to Jeff Mazza (Carla), Christine Mazza (Jason Adelman) and great-uncle to Jenna and Christopher.  Lifelong childhood friend of Ralph Drowns, Bob Wilson and Reggie Brooks (deceased).

Cherished and loving companion to Rose Micale and a dear part of the Micale Family (affectionately named the MicMurzyn’s).

Bob grew up in North Collinwood and was retired from a long and diverse career as an electrical engineer and program manager for Bailey Controls, Picker International, MDI and also worked as an independent contractor.  He was an alumnus of Collinwood High School, Case Western Reserve University (Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering) and John Carroll University (Master of Science in Physics).

He imparted his love of nature to his daughters and lived his life with happiness and deep spirituality. He enjoyed spending time with his lovely Rose who meant the world to him, going to wineries and listening to music and walking at Veterans Park or sitting by the lake and enjoying the view.   He enjoyed simple pleasures, putzing in the yard and around the house, watching movies and football, listening to music and dancing, golfing, good food, reading and always, always learning!

Bob touched many lives with his easy-going, loyal and generous nature, quick smile and positive attitude through life’s challenges.  He leaves us with one thing to remember most:  Be Happy!

May his spirit be rejoicing in heaven and always be with us.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on March 27th at St. John Vianney, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.  Private Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
