May 16, 1952 - May 10, 2023

 

Donald Joseph Pertz of Willoughby Hills. Beloved husband of Veree (nee Luttrell) for 32 years; father of Shannon, Frank (Karen), Desiree (Matt), Jennifer (Steve), Robin (Nate), and William; grandfather of Andrew, Seth, Xander, Robert (Chloe), Hannah, Aidan, Avery, Blake, Wrangler and Jason; great-grandfather of Weston; brother-in-law, uncle, and cherished friend of many. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Frank William and Dorothy Lee (nee Minter) Pertz.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Don Emil Fuchs

March 9, 1936 - September 22, 2022

Don E. Fuchs, 86, of Concord Township, a proud Veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 22, 2022, after a long illness. He was born in Akron, to the late Helen and John Fuchs. He was a long time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary but joined St. Gabriels and has been a member there since. He enjoyed walking, dancing, and listening to live music. Don was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine and daughter, Judith (Fuchs) Thomas. He is survived by his; son, Thomas Fuchs; daughters, Susan (Fuchs) Vigh and Kelly (Fuchs) (Lonnie) Beatty; Grandchildren, Alan Prietz, Summer and Shadoe (Jade) Beatty, Jammie and Brett Thomas, Brian (Sarah) and Chris Vigh, and thirteen Great Grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 to 11:00am with a funeral mass to follow at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Western Reserve in Mentor.

Donald G. Sopko

June 3, 1933 - December 16, 2018

Donald G. Sopko beloved husband of Flaviana (nee A); father of Paul (Maribeth), Dawna Hurst (Matt), and Douglas (Shelly); grandfather of Rob (Emily), Rachael, Matthew, Nicole, Ethan, Brayden, Cody, and Sofia; great grandfather of Carter; brother, uncle, cousin, and friend of many; Donald retired from the Maple Hts. School district and was a member of the Dahlia Society. He loved dogs and was a trainer for many years. 

Services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Zion Lutheran Church 5780 Dunham Rd. Maple Hts., OH 44137. Burial will take place after the service.
