Susan Cope

In Memory of Susan Cope

We share the love and sadness of the passing of my wife and mother of three wonderful children. Sue was born in Painesville, OH. Cherished daughter of the late Harold Hartman and Eudora Davies. She is survived by her brother William Hartman and his wife Reliza.

She lived in Mentor, Oh, most of her life, graduating from Mentor High School in 1962. After working two jobs, the Match Factory and Bailey Meter, she met her future husband, Tom Cope. Married for 52 years with 3 children, son Dave Passerallo and wife Chris, daughter Denise Debalski and spouse Scott, and son Jeff Cope. There were 5 grandchildren that she babysat for and adored, Tony and April Passerallo, Greg, Mike, and Steve Debalski. She also had 6 great grandchildren that always kept her happy.

The best times for her were with the family, enjoying picnics and birthday parties. The fun holiday was Christmas, she loved that more than any day. We could have 5 Christmas trees in our home at any time. Of course, she enjoyed the times shopping at the malls and eating out. She grew up next to McDonalds and her favorite was the morning coffee, breakfast sandwich and just the hamburger at lunch or evening snack.

She will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful, beautiful mother and wife. She is in a happy place! Services will be private.
