Raymond F. Muzic Sr.
Raymond F. Muzic, Sr. passed away at age 81 on Sunday, November 16th. Born in Cleveland to Elsie (née Modic) and Joseph Francis Muzic, Ray was the beloved brother of Robert J Muzic.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, JoAnn C. Muzic (nee Cameron, nee Ramey). He was the proud father of Raymond Jr. (Linda), Daniel (Doris), and David (Christina); and cherished grandfather of Kaitlin (Jacob) Cornett, Hannah (Brandon), Aiden, Annabel, Matthew, and Megan. He was also a loving stepfather to Jill (Mark) D’Ambrosia and John Cameron, and step-grandfather to Kassie.
Ray grew up in the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland and attended St. Joseph High School. He began his career at Lincoln Electric in 1964 and dedicated 42 years to the company while spending his adult life residing in Lake County. Best known for his soups, always made by the gallon, Ray loved cooking for friends and family. His kitchen was stocked with every gadget imaginable and his toolbox was just as impressive. A true handyman, he tackled countless projects throughout his life.
When not in the kitchen or working on a project, Ray found joy in time spent with his family and beloved grand-dogs. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him
Visitation and funeral mass will occur Saturday April 18, 2026 at St. Bede Catholic Church in Mentor, Ohio. Afterwards there will be a celebration of life luncheon for friends and family at the church. Interment at Lake View Cemetery will follow.
