Mary Ruth Johnston

Mary Ruth Johnston, 78 passed away peacefully  Friday August 22, 2025.  Mary was born May 15, 1947, in Painesville to Theodore and Ruth (Jackson) Peck.  Mary was married to George Edgar Johnston July 22, 1967  They were married 55 years before his passing in 2023. Many of her joys included gardening, sewing, knitting, going out wandering and grabbing lunch with her bestie Mart. She also greatly enjoyed singing in the Lake County Messiah Chorus every year, she sang in the chorus for 23 years. 

Mary is survived by her children Sarah (Steve) Marshall, Jennifer (Dennis) Myers,  Andrew (Jackie) Johnston, Benjamin (Erin) Johnston her nine grandchildren Zachary Myers, Michael, Isaiah and Kaitlin Johnston, Owen, Claire and Emily Marshall and Maggie and Adam Johnston.  Her Siblings Ted Peck, Greg (Martha) Peck and Sherry (Dan) Breen, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her Husband George, her parents Ted and Ruth Peck and sister Nancy (Peck) Wiles. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at  Zion Lutheran Church 508 Mentor Ave. Painesville Ohio, Visiting starts at 4:30, service at 5:00, fellowhip after the service.
