Joseph John Doeing of Painesville, age 38, passed away June 28, 2021 at University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland after a month long battle with complications from COVID-19. Joe was born in Painesville to John Jr. and Kathy Doeing.

Joe was a graduate of Riverside High School, where he was a member of the marching band, and Auburn Career Center where he studied to be an Automotive Technician. He worked as an Auto Tech at Snyder's Auto Center in Painesville for many years, and also worked for Buckeye Auto Electric in Painesville. Most recently, Joe was an employed as a Diesel Mechanic at Laketran in Mentor, where he took his job and the safety of the public very seriously. Joe was on medical leave from Laketran battling cancer when he was hospitalized with COVID-19.

Joe loved to roller skate and speed skate as a child, then found a renewed passion for it as an adult. He motivated many people, young and old, to get into skating, and continued to encourage them even after an injury took him out of the sport. He loved to camp with family and friends, and enjoyed fishing and hiking. Joe had a love for racing, whether it was racing figure eight at Painesville Speedway, or RC cars, or just being a spectator, he loved it all. He was a gamer, and enjoyed streaming his games and interacting with people in his live streams. Joe found a lot of support from the gaming community during his battle with cancer. He played many instruments, and enjoyed listening to all types of music, but he especially loved live music. He was a member of the NL Bicycle Club, and he enjoyed cycling, even in the winter. Joe was a sports fan, he always rooted for the Indians, and always loved going to opening day. He was a die hard Detroit Lions fan, but enjoyed cheering on the Browns with his buddies on Sundays with some good food and good beer. Joe was the front man, designated beer drinker and electric rocking chair rider for The Amazing Charlie Baker Boys! Joe was a wonderful husband and father, he had a smile and a laugh that is unforgettable, and he will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

Joe is survived by his wife of nine years, Molly (Ratcliffe) Doeing, daughter, Sam Doeing, sister, Jennifer Dowd, and faithful furbabies, Rudy and Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents John R. Doeing Jr., and Kathy Jo (Lefelhoc) Doeing.
