JOHN BOJEC

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the passing of John Bojec on August 17, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, John lived most of his life in Highland Hts. before moving to Mentor.  John was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was also a loyal friend, always ready to help those around him. Known for his strong work ethic and passion for fishing, John was a devoted husband to Joan (Dalessio) Bojec for 66 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Chris) Bojec; son, John (Diana) Bojec; grandchildren Tiffany (Michael) Phillips, Mitchell Bojec, Alexandra (Trey) Preston, Owen and Elena Bojec; great-grandchildren Beau and Crew Phillips, and Landon Preston; and his sister, Marge (Dave) Zebrowski. He now joins his parents, John and Gertrude (Laidman) Bojec, and his sister, Joan Bojec.

A private service will be held. 

The family extends their gratitude to Hero’s Harbor and its nursing staff for the exceptional care provided to John during his time there.
