James "Jim" R. Oberg

James "Jim" R. Oberg age 95,passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023. Born to the late John and Helen Oberg. Jim was a lifelong resident of Lake County.He leaves behind his sons Gilbert of Willoughby, David (Shari) of Chardon, and daughter Pamela of Columbus. Grandfather of Curt (Sarah) of Mentor, and Bruce. Jim was married for 69 years to the late Doris.His hobbies included gardening, traveling, crossword puzzles, and most of all his morning coffee with his best friend Paul Chapman of Perry. He was an army veteran who served in The Korean War. Jim was employed for and retired from Lake Truck. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandsons play sports.All Services will be Private. Donations in his name may be made to St. James Episcopal Church in Painesville.
