Doris Hugershoff

Doris Hugershoff, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025.  She was born on February 8, 1937 in Germany to Elsa and Hermann Friedauer.  Doris was a long-time member of the E.O.U.V. club and Gottscheer Heimatchor Choir and also a member of the Chardon Senior Center Renaissance Choir, which she greatly enjoyed.  She was a resident of Chardon for 57 years.  Doris is survived by her daughters Angela Lanese (Domenic) and Suzanne Hugershoff; and grandchildren Alisha Potter and Sofia Lanese.  Doris was preceded in death by her husband Peter and sisters Helga Curtiss and Ilse Grimm, and brothers-in law Dieter Grimm and George Curtiss.  She loved baking and was known for her German pretzels, which were enjoyed by many.  A celebration of life will be held in the near future with family.
