Aubrey Rancel Yeater “Butch”

Butch Yeater from Thompson, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, after a short stay in a nursing facility. Butch Yeater was born in Geneva, Ohio, and is the son of Benjamin & Goldie Yeater. Butch is survived by his girlfriend Eleanor Fischbach of 24 years, and his dog (Rowdy), along with his children: Susan (Robert) Shingler, SC, Rhea (Shirley) Yeater, OH, Janet Beling, SC, Raymond Yeater, OH, Kimberly (Gary) Main, OH, Karen (Mike) Johnson, OH, Laura (Jay) Harris, OH, Tom (Kim) Fischbach, OH.

Sisters: Nellie (Bill) Egelston, OH, Mae Yeater, FL, Patty (Tony), Korpela, OH. Butch had 23 grandchildren, and 25 Great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son Jimmy Yeater, SC, and grandson Jacob Daniel, SC, along with his favorite dog, “Scout,” Brothers: Jesse Yeater, James Yeater, and Denver Yeater. Sisters: Dorothy Piercy, Alice Shaughnessy & Betty Rigby.

He went to school at Thompson High School, Thompson, OH, and after became a Thompson Police Officer, where he spent thirteen years, and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Butch then became a truck driver with Colonial Motor Freight, SC, and spent many years as a volunteer firefighter with St. Johns Fire Department, Johns Island SC. Butch retired from Premier Trucking in 2019. Butch and Eleanor enjoyed traveling, and going to country music festivals, and being home with family.
