Roy Hudson Lansing

February 20, 1950 - May 11, 2017

Our beloved Brother Roy Hudson Lansing, 67, fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, May 11th, 2017, surrounded by his family.  His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace, resting assured in the hope of our Lord’s soon return to this earth. Roy was born to the late Hudson and Patricia Lansing.  Having spent his early years out west, during his high school years, Roy’s family eventually settled in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.  There he met his best friend and high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Lansing whom he married on July 31, 1971.  Roy was a faithful member and supporter of the Church of the Blessed Hope (Church of the Abrahamic Faith) in Chesterland, Ohio.  He was an ambassador for Christ holding a passion for mission work at home and abroad.  He spent many years doing frequent mission trips to Jamaica, donating time and funding to the poor and needy while devoting himself in the church community that became his lifelong support.

“Learn to do right; seek justice.  Defend the oppressed.  Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”  Isaiah 1:17

Roy was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lansing (Titman), and his children: Jesse Lansing (Devone), Sarah Lansing, Rebekah Ross (James), Lydia Panchyson (Darryl), Deanna Scott (Lynn) and Eric Boone.  He was a beloved grandfather to eleven grandchildren:  Sadie, Josie, Adelaide, and Jed Lansing; James, Teagan, Ireson (John), and Jair Ross; Phoebe and Eli Panchyson; Ben Scott, and his new grand-dog “Ransom” Lansing.  He is also survived by his brother Dan Lansing (Salmon, Idaho). Roy had a love of colorful, vibrant, fun-festive print shirts. His family refers to them as “Grandpa” shirts.  In his honor, please feel free to wear one of these types of shirts to his celebration of life!

Phillip G Martin "Cowboy"

August 18, 1954 - March 21, 2017

Please help us in remembering our cowboy, Phillip Gene Martin.  Cowboy passed @ home with his family by his side. He is survived by his life partner, Barbara Wharton, children Goldie (Jason), Nora, Barbara, Kenny, Johnny, and grand children, Dallas, Christine, Tylor, and Samantha. Along with many other friends and loved ones. Cowboy (Phil) came into our lives and took on many roles that many people would shy away from. When he met his spouse, Barbara Wharton, he became her rock. He took care of not only her, but also her family until his sickness took over. Her children became his children. Her grandchildren became his grandchildren. He wasn't just some random person. He became a husband, a father, a grandfather. Phil's purpose in life was to take care of us. And he did just that. Cowboy made sure his grandchildren were always fed, clothed and stable. Phil also made sure his step-children and grandchildren always had a Christmas, birthday. Anyone who knew Phillip personally knew how passionate he was about his family, his animals, cooking for everyone and anyone, fishing and junking. Every day he'd bring home some crazy things he'd found that day. While he enjoyed all of those things, Cowboy also suffered through many health issues over the years. But he never worried about that or himself. Cowboy's main priority was to take care of his family. Now it's our turn to take care of him. We are asking if anyone could donate to help pay for a memorial service and death expenses. Every dollar counts and every dollar matters. He deserves the best. All of the money raised will be handled by Cowboy's daughter, Goldie Burrows. We will never forget his stubbornness, his feistiness and most importantly we will never forget the love he had for each and every one us.

We love you, Cowboy. This isn't a "goodbye." It's "See ya later.

A memorial will be held Sunday April 2, 2017 at 4pm at Willo Lake Church 32959 Lakeshore Blvd, Willoughby, Ohio 44095. Join us in celebrating his life with food and cowboy laughs after memorial service.
